I know they've been featured on BoingBoing, but these Marketplace Whiteboard shorts are really great and informative:

This weekend, went to a middle school basketball game after school on Friday, then met
kingfox and picked up
runstaverun to go get dinner @ the Firehouse in Madison. then to Hoboken, where, with a multitude of available movies at our fingertips for a free Netflix/Xbox trial, we wound up watching "Fight Club" for the millionth time instead. Club K.O. in the morning was *my* first real workout since the summer...ouch! skinned/bruised knuckles and stiff today but worth it. a chinese brunch, then went our seperate ways in order to cover our social bases...kingfox went to a friend's birthday party in the city, while i jetted back to pennsyljersey in order to whip up hors d'ouevres for my "company" christmas party in basking ridge. saw flurries on the way home, and by the time i was pulling out of the supermarket, my car was nicely fishtailing on the road, so i wound up, iced-in, at home. (good thing though, 'cause my bro said that the roads were pretty bad late at night out that way, and my car doesn't handle snow or ice *at all*
finishing up wrapping gifts today and listening to christmas music, and off to the annual Rutgers Kirkpatrick Christmas Concert this evening...yay! I've been every year since 1999, so it's tradition for me (and increasingly hard to get tix...got mine Oct 4th).
trying to minimize stress, and that whole "am-i-giving-enough" feeling...this christmas really feels different, since everyone i know is stressed out financially. if they're giving, they feel like fiscally irresponsible spendthrifts, if they're saving, they're feeling left out and miserly. i'm just trying to create some holiday cheer without bankrupting myself, (same as every year, har har!)
on that note, i'm trying to have an informal "It's a Wonderful Life" viewing-night out in the country, along with some spiced wine or something...open to all. maybe sunday the 21st? leave me a comment if you're interested?
