During the month of May, New Jersey transitioned from a lot of partly-open measures to fully open.

It was a pretty busy month. But I was ready to dive into all that, so, yay.

lots of Sound of Music pics. Liberty was a Gretl in an outdoor performance of 'Sound of Music.' So proud of the entire cast and crew for putting this together this year, it was a real journey and experience. Grateful to have been a part of it.

Had our first social gathering, post-Covid, with pirate friends, and it was a blast! I had a very good time, and did not take any pictures!

Took Liberty out shopping to a Target to shop for a friend's birthday party gift; her first shopping trip in way over a year

it was Wes' birthday, and the kids also went to their first outdoor kid birthday party in a loooong time (we made them still wear masks though, since they are still not able to vax)

Had the house power-washed (which was especially great after the roof re-do and pollen this year). Now it's ready for me to paint!

My dad in his uniform on Memorial Day. He had hip surgery this month, and also a cancer scare. So grateful that things came back benign.

Smithy went downhill this month and had a lot of difficulties. The last two weeks of May, he hasn't eaten or done anything much; he just wants to lay in the grass. We are all very sad and trying to just take things day by day and let him have as many good days as he can, and know what to do next.

made my first lasagna after crowd-sourcing for tips. Found the motivation because Liberty was like, "What's a lasagna?" and I gasped in horror. Fixed!
