Huzzah!
Well, that's a wrap for this year's NJRK...
I *should* go to bed, but need to ease down a bit from all the post-faire-post-takedown adrenaline, (and also a nice cold dread rush that happened at the *very* end of the night, when a Millburn cop pulled me over at 11:30 'cause he said I messed up the left-turn/straight lane on the Route 78 jughandle...(which, for the record, is really confusing anyway, and also there wasn't a whole lot of traffic, like none, but whatev, these wonderful heart-stopping events *always* happen when you least expect; I wasn't even SPEEDING, people! Fortunately, after I just acted very dismayed and acquiescent, the cop let me off...ptL; seriously, 'cause I really don't need *more* points right now).
Doing take-down after a full day of performances is always a trip...I *wanted* to work until I was burger; these little masochistic-type sessions really help you to appreciate things more...things like sturdy gloves and hot showers and efficient loading and trusty loaders and food and body parts that you didn't realize were there until they hurt a bit...plus, I'm not someone who has to get up and work on Monday (a lot of crazy people who did stayed quite late! also, I must say that it was totally badass that some people even had camped out Saturday night(which of course means like NO sleep), did the faire-day, and stayed 'til the end of takedown...*damn* you people are hardcore!) one thing that really surprised me this year was the return of some old friends and actors who just showed to help with the take-down...really unexpected, and really appreciated; just...wow. It was also nice to see so many friends over the course of the faire-season and former actors come back to visit.
Got some non-cleaned/non-prettied-up pics loaded after the jump...don't go poking through the larger gallery til I've had a chance to zoom and fix a bit...I only have a few pics; took some pics of some Closing from this evening (and most of it was pretty far away...crap zoom on the digi, sorry!)
