Other

School: did a fantastic LAL unit on SciFi; such great discussions, texts, and viewing. We wrote a persuasive essay about AI and investigated/played with it a bit. They also wrote their own scifi stories using themes we had talked about, and we went to a film showing of 'Metropolis' on the big screen, which was simply epic and very memorable.

We also took a field trip to an Amazon fulfillment center (no pics allowed!) and saw all the pallet-bots etc.

Had a lovely fall. Also food prices were really high, and I was grateful that we had done *two* farm-shares/CSAs this year; buying a local 'cow' and getting our veggies from local farms saved us a good deal of $ and I was able to freeze things that we didn't use right away for the coming winter.

Our garden patch had its ups and downs this past season, but the cheese pumpkin plants produced *thirteen* pumpkins for cooking. I also set aside nearly two boxes of squashes to stretch into the winter.
