...so other than my forks and spoons arriving this week and being *super* small tasting-size (great! they'll look fab next to my mini choc fountain!), other things are not going so smoothly...

today, went for the requisite trial hairdo, at a really really cute place in Clinton along the water. the hairstylist did my hair in under an hour, did a perfect job, and i booked the wedding morning date for myself and a few bridesmaids, and prepaid. i even found a bridesmaid's dress for my friend's wedding in August, and worked with my mom on some mother-of-the-bride dresses. yay, stuff checked off list!!

went out to meet with the florist, then got a message on my phone from the hairplace..turns out, they have another bride for that date, can I come in *earlier* at 9:30 am? No, no...it being an *evening* wedding, with a picnic-party blowout the night before, I really can't, thanks, salon. WTH??? Don't book me if you have another party!! Don't rush through people's hair on an important day, and screw with their time! especially when they have to drive for an hour to get to their wedding site! When I called up, over a MONTH ago, to make this *trial* appointment, don't tell me that the date in July is free, have me spend $ for the trial, then pull this garbage!! don't get my hopes up and then make me cancel and find a new place which necessitates driving all over the state of NJ on the morning of the wedding!! ugh!! now i have to find a new place, spend $$ on a new trial, and waste more weekend-time sitting in a salon-chair, gambling on some random styliste...asdkgakdfgjagjff!!!

Things even went downhill from here...the church is double-charging us (the same price for the wedding day *and* the rehearsal the day before? ffs...), the candles I was going to pick up from the store tripled in price (went up a $1!! why didn't I buy them a few weeks ago! Now it's going to cost like $35-$40 *more*!), and some invites I ordered during the last week of February(I'm making some, but sending out some less-amateur/art-project-looking premades to family-members, etc) still haven't arrived, and when I called the company on *Tuesday*, they said that they'd get right back to me, and they didn't, and still no sign of them. *and* we still don't have a flight back from Turkey, and prices keep going up, *and* I saw a cuter pair of wedding shoes after I already bought another pair, and now I *hate* the first pair, but shipping them back is more bother and more $$ and probably not worth it. *and* I'm scared about not picking up the wedding cakes too far in advance, but where do you store three large Carvel ice cream sheet cakes in July? *and* R says that my Starbuck (caketopper) figurine arrived, but looks kind of like a man, *and* photographers and dance lessons are LUDICROUSLY expensive. don't they know there's a piss-poor economy on??

...and I have *no* idea of what to do for makeup or how to find a good "makeup artist"...(not that I really want to spend stupid $$ on that but everyone tells me that it is quite necessary and quite worth it...)

why can't things just be easy??

::breathes like muppet-Animal::

(thanx but pls no comforting blather on how all this wedding PERFIDY will work itself out. things don't work out unless you *make* them work out, and all this is just more work.)
