How much adspace is too much? The NYTimes pushed it too far for me today: http://www.nytimes.com/
(if you see a HALF PAGE AD for Mac where headlines should go, then you're seeing what I saw).  sure, sure, you just click "minimize ads" and then it looks normal again, but that's annoying....how desperate for $$ are they?!

riding the moto to work today to save some $$...an hour of riding each way. hoping that this will be a joy rather than some sort of endurance test at the end of the day...

soooo.... today sukkkked! i even admit to crying. really!  i cry when i get really really frustrated sometimes, which usually makes me *more* frustrated. and it really sucks to start leaking some when you're on a motorcyle. SO not badass. plus the whole seeing the road  thing...

i was late for school today. LATE. FOR . SCHOOL.  you *can't* be late for school when you're the teacher! it can't happen!

but I rode the moto this morning; lovely drive all hour...even made great time. Was about 2 miles (and five minutes) away from my school, hit some traffic on Route 24. so, i thought i'd zip down a side road to come in from the back. aaannnd.....two phone calls to the office later, from Randolph, from *back* in Chester, and *back* down Route 24 sitting in traffic the whole way, I finally made it in. but it was a THIRTY FIVE MINUTE DETOUR.
Dang, I haven't gotten lost in a long time. sucks.

AND, end of today, I found out that the computer program that I wanted to use tomorrow, that I built my entire lesson around, is NOT loaded on the laptop cart computers. the lab, yes, the library lab, yes, the classroom computers, yes, (all of which i had checked) but the stupid cart? NO. in fact, I found out that they use individual registrations for everything. and of course i don't have administrator access to even load the free 30 day trial web version of the program on the lappys by hand (which I stayed after and tried to do, anyway). ARRGGHHHH. ANd the new lappys don't work unplugged more than 15 minutes. somehow, the brand new batteries got fried. SCHOOL TECHNOLOGY SUCKS, and the people who ARE technologically literate are POWERLESS.

oh, here's roughly where i went this morning, minus a few other criss-crosses and turnarounds:
