Total # of phone calls to Cablevision to disconnect service, correct mistaken online billing (actually a *re*correct from last October 2007 when I had called to fix the same problem), confirm that the disconnect guy was coming that day after he was 3 hours late, and then to correct mistaken billing and affirm that I HAD, in fact, returned their equipment (to said disconnect guy, who had given me a receipt that I had to quote over the phone), etc etc etc....TEN phone calls.
Again, saving receipts for things pays off. Thank you, Rutgers and Communist China! Your lessons still come in handy in a red-tape world.
