NOT too cool for school
Jun. 9th, 2008 04:31 pmmy school closed halfway through today, and has a half day tomorrow, due to excessive heat and NO A.C.
my second-floor classroom under the flat-black-tar-roof must have hit at least 100 degrees before we left at 11:50.
((I'd "QQ" (as kingfox puts it) even more, except I just read a dispatch from my cousin in Iraq, where it is 120 degrees and been sand-storming and hard-to-breathe, and she has to wear a zillion lbs of gear while I merely sweat through my shirts)).
NEways, due to the heat-sapping of available student brainpower, I just made them watch a movie instead...indoctrination by watching "The End of Suburbia".
UPDATE: WOOT! My dad just helped me to put an a.c.unit in my window...things are chillin' now...
