so...anyone want to go to Milan to see Franco Zeferelli's "Aida" at La Scala?
Now *that* would be a decadent weekend!

My actual weekend is a bit more prosaic...yesterday, stayed after school to do some setup (mid-term grades due soon), then splurged on yummy Thai food and had a nice stay-in evening with M and Battlestar Galactica and scotch. Went to sleep/woke up cold, however, because the heat is broken in my apartment. Now that it's almost a day later and the problem isn't fixed yet (and I *think* it's only a matter of having overfilled the radiators?), I'm starting to worry about pipes freezing, etc. But let's not talk about that, shall we?
Went Christmas shopping with my mom, and saw the nephew this morning; got most of my holiday party stuff and smaller incidental gifts out of the way (I used to mail out 60+ Christmas cards a year, this year I'll be lucky if I can cover the necessary people with presents in time.) Got to do some cleaning and wait for a repairman, then it's a Grande Night at the Theatre (middle school theatre, that is), and then to see 'Apocalypto' with M.
Tomorrow is lots and lots and lots of grading, hopefully some yoga, then my favorite Christmas concert at Kirkpatrick Chapel at RU.
