Haven't posted any pics in a while, 'cause I haven't taken many recently. Busy with packing, money-transferring paperwork, etc etc...Last night was the big staff farewell banquet, with the usual two-handed formal toasting that you have to reciprocally give (in hierarchical order) in order to be polite and yet do your sucking up in the most natural, affable manner you can...I think it was a success. Then, the afterparty was at my apartment and we chilled out and said goodbye to H, who shipped out at 730 this a.m. Today, I am off to Shanghai Museum and to go to some banks for some frustration and confusion, woo! I'm actually having some issues with the summer camp thing; if it doesn't pan out by, say, Thursday, I have to make other arrangements and figure out what I'm going to do/see in Guangzhou, where I'm going to live and what to do for three weeks...

very common street food. you hardboil the eggs first then make a tiny hole then set them to crock pot and stew all day in a mix of black tea, soy sauce, and ginger.
