It did not rain for all of October, pretty severe drought. Fire warnings and wildfires. You would go outside and feel the dryness and dustiness in your mouth.






Voted. Had a pretty bad feeling about it even before I voted early. Hard to describe how dismaying the outcome was. No time to mourn Ukraine, the climate, public health hopes, etc; pretty much compartmentalized and sprang into preparation-actions, bc it seems like it's going to be a rough ride, even moreso than anticipated. No idea how to prepare my children, except to build survivor mindset and resilience.
